Course Info: Come out to The Meltdown and get a leg up on the 2017 racing season! What better way to thaw yourself of the winter freeze and melt off those extra holiday pounds.

Fair Hill NRMA (Natural Resource Management Area,) was formerly owned by William duPont Jr. in one of the largest private landholdings on the east coast. Today outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy over 5,000 acres of protected land boasting more than 75 miles of multi use trails for hiking, biking, and equestrians.

Runners only: Tired of doing the "same old - same old"? Then come on out to our 2 hour adventure run! You'll be given a map with checkpoints marked on the map, and up to 2 hours to collect as many of these checkpoints as you can. Collect as many as you like and run for as long as you like, but no longer than 2 hours will be permitted. All you need is an adventurous spirit, some very basic map reading skills (do you know your north from your south and your left from your right?) and of course - your sneakers!

If we happen to have snow cover, you can travel by any means you choose. You can snowshoe, ski, even posthole your way from point to point.

Runner/Bikers: So, we hear you can also mountain bike! Well, then you should do the 6 Hour Foot/Bike Adventure Race. In this event you will have up to 6 hours to collect as many point as you can. Solo racers and teams of 2-3 welcome!

If we are lucky enough to have snow cover, you also can travel by any means you choose. You can snowshoe, ski, bike or even posthole your way from point to point. If there is snow, your method of travel (or madness!) will be your option!

More: Register for either the 2 hour adventure run or the 6 hour foot/bike race.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
