General Information

Course Info: Two distances: Sprint and Classic. Sprint 2MR/10MB/2MR, Classic: 3.35MR/13.4MB/3.3MR. The 11th annual Brooklyn Fall Duathlon takes place on a scenic 3.35 mile loop course during the beginning of the spring. The course is closed to traffic but open to pedestrians. There is a gradual incline and breathtaking views of the park. Packet pick up and the awards ceremony takes place at the Peristyle or Greek Shelter. The transition area is set up across the loop on the grassy area. The race is electronically timed and you will receive 5 splits. Participants range from beginners to seasonal athletes. Athena and Clydesdale categories and Relay Teams. We usually have a handful of professional athletes who race as well. We offer discount for teams.

More: Finisher medals, Awards for Age Groupers, Event's t-shirt, personalized bib number for those who signed up at least 4 weeks before race day.

The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Annual or one-day membership is required. Post-race celebration includes an Award Ceremony along with the famous Brooklyn bagels and flavored cream cheese spreads. We may even surprise you with some hot chocolate.

Directions: Closest train stops are the F,G to Fort Hamilton Parkway and the Q train to Parkside.

There is no parking available in the park. If you are driving you need to find parking around the park on Prospect Park Southwest, Parkside Ave., Ocean Ave., Flatbush Ave. or Prospect Park West. Race site is easily accessible from any entrance t.

However you can reach race start location from any entrance to the park. Just make sure you head South. Start, transition area and finish line are located right in front of the Peristyle or Greek Shelter by the lake. The two nearest entrances to the start are: 1- Park Circle on Prospect Park Southwest and Parkside Ave. 2- Ocean Ave./Parkside Ave.
