Course Info: The Singer Island triathlon features a running start to a ΒΌ mile swim in the Atlantic Ocean. The Multirace team will be tracking the weather to ensure we are providing the safest swim possible. We recommend athletes warm up in the ocean before the start of the race to acclimate to the conditions. Ocean swims can be challenging but we do our best to minimize strong current conditions at our races.
More: While the triathletes are swimming, the duathlon athletes will be running 1 mile. Triathletes should prepare for a short beach run to transition. Both duathletes & triathletes will converge in the transition area for a 10 mile bike course. This bike course offers the best that Singer Island has to offer; MacArthur State Park & the challenging Blue Heron Bridge. MacArthur State Park provides a scenic view of sand dunes, mangrove & hammock forests as well as a myriad of birds. Blue Heron Bridge offers up a panoramic view of the Intracoastal Waterway, overlooking Peanut Island and the Port of Palm Beach. After completing this beautiful ride, athletes will return to transition to the run.
This summer event brings runners along part of the bike course, the Blue Heron Bridge. While the distance is short, the bridge and temperatures can be challenging for both cyclists and runners. Athletes should prepare with warm weather & incline training.
After athletes return to the Ocean Mall finish, they will receive a unique medal for their amazing accomplishments. Stay to enjoy the day in this quaint coastal town.
