Course Info: The Mack Cycle Tri-Miami Triathlon/Duathlon & Caribbean Championship will be kicking off MultiRace's season in Miami. We are very excited to be a part of the Caribbean Championship this year, it will be a great experience for all of our racers and spectators. We are equally excited about the opportunity to partner with Mack Cycle & Fitness again for all of our Miami triathlon/duathlon events (Tri-Miami, the Trilogy Series and Miami Man). All of the swimmers out there will be thrilled to hear that we will be featuring an Atlantic Ocean swim that is also protected. Get ready to set some personal records. The bike course features the Rickenbacker Causeway bridge. Make sure you begin incorporating some incline training into your workouts to get ready for this challenge. The run course will feature a flat course, just make sure you are paying attention to your nutrition as we are more than likely to be racing in temperatures in the mid 80's.
More: All finishers will receive a custom designed finisher’s medal declaring you as a triathlon or duathlon finisher! We feel that finishing a triathlon or duathlon of any distance is a great accomplishment that you should be proud of. This is just another reason to race with MultiRace! In addition, awards are given to the top 3 finishers in all categories. Those receiving overall and master awards are removed from their age groups, bumping everyone else up in the age group standings. There is no double dipping. If you qualify for overall, you cannot get another award for masters overall or your age group. Pro-Elite participants only qualify for overall awards. All participants will also receive a custom designed Race Shirt at Packet Pickup. Collect them all!
Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
