General Information

Course Info: Aquabike: Will feature the same 1.5k swim and 40k bike as the Olympic distance event. Once athletes finish the bike they'll transition to their running shoes for a 100m run through the finish chute where their race will officially end!

Sprint: The sprint distance will be exactly half of the distance of the Olmypic. The sprint athletes will start after the Olmypic distance race with a 1/2m swim, a single-loop 12.4m bike, and a 5k run!

More: The 10th Anniversary Steamboat Triathlon now features a sprint distance, olympic distance, and aquabike. The swim starts off in the picturesque Lake Catamount. Triathletes will then quickly transition to the bike course with amazing views of the Yampa Valley and River! The olympic distance course will take athletes out to the historic Howelsen, while the sprint distance will feature a brand new single loop course. The run course hugs Lake Catamount for a flat and fast route which finishes back at the Lake! Hang out post race in the grassy lawns and enjoy great prizes, raffles, awards, and food from our local sponsors of Steamboat! Race is capped at 600 participants for all the event combined, please join us for one of Colorado's most intimate destination events! This is the 3rd stop on the Colorado Triathlon Tour and points will be awarded to both the sprint and olympic distance competitors, please see the series points page for more details!

Directions: Directions to Lake Catamount
Lake Catamount is located on CR 18, nestled in a beautiful valley off of CR 131. Directions coming from Denver, take Hwy 40 traveling west, turn left on Hwy 131, then left on CR 18. The transition area will be on the left hand side, near the Lake House. Coming from the east, travel through downtown Steamboat, turn right on Hwy 131, then left on CR 18.
