There are few places in multisport where only one word can describe the essence of the place and the event. In the Southeast that word is Logan or more specifically Lake Logan. For those who raced here or have heard the stories, Logan means breathtaking beauty, a wet-suit legal swim in the heat of the summer, a rolling bike course that is flatter than people imagine in the mountains and a shaded run course along a scenic river.
This race has sold out the past two out of three years and we expect it once again in 2017.
Lake Logan Swim - 1.2 Miles - Wetsuit Legal
The Lake Logan swim is a rectangle one loop course finishing under the bridge in the mouth of the Pigeon River. This swim is always wetsuit legal at around 67 degrees and in the middle of summer, is a rarity in the south. The mountains on each side protect the lake from most wind and the swim has always been flat and calm.
Lake Logan Bike - 56 Miles
The 56-mile bike course is a typical mountain course with a great mix of rollers and long downhills with two significant climbs, one at mile 42 for 1 mile averaging about 6% and the other climbing back to transition which is slightly shorter. The course is supported with public safety and volunteers at every turn and major crossroad. The scenery is amazing and will make you forget some of the challenges you will face along the course.
Lake Logan Run - 13.1 Miles - Two Loops
The run is a two loop course with a gentle slope up for 3 miles then a gentle slow back along the river and all shaded by trees and the ever-present mountains that frame the valley.
