General Information

- We will be running 8 lanes at a time. Each lane will have a Staff “lap counter” assigned to it to keep track of athlete laps.
- “8” Athletes will compete at a time during a “swim wave” – once the last athlete in that wave has cleared the pool we will line up our next wave.
- Athletes will exit pool and run past the Old Town Hot Springs “Hot Tub” area, up the stairs and exit into the upper Parking Lot.
Bike Information:
- Athletes will exit the upper parking lot running their bikes under the bridge where they will then be able to mount.
- Athletes will take a left turn over the bridge toward the Tennis Courts, they will ride up the alley and turn out onto 3rd street to begin their ride.
- Ride distances will vary depending on Division entered. Maps can be found on our website, www.getfitfamilyracing.com
- There will be signs, volunteers and Police/ Community Service Officers throughout the course to guide and direct athletes.
Run Information
- After transitioning off bike athletes will once again exit the upper parking lot under the bridge where they will pick up the dirt path for a short period.
- Athletes will turn off the path onto Pine Street and continue on their run. Maps can be found on our website, www.getfitfamilyracing.com
- Once again there will be signs, volunteers and Police/Community Service Officers throughout the course to guide and direct athletes.
Transition:
- Transition will be located in the upper parking lot of the Hot Springs.

Our adult divisions will offer 2 categories to choose from. For our “First Timers” or Beginners you will begin with a 300 yard pool swim, transition to a 8 mile bike ride followed by a 2 mile run. For our intermediate/ competitive division you will begin with a 400 yard swim, followed by an 10 mile bike, finishing with a 3 mile run.

*Relay Teams: Team up with two friends and race as a team. A relay is a great way to race if you do not want to participate in all three events. Only one team member may participate in each event.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
