Course Info: NEW in 2012 will be the HIT Aquathlon 1.2 mile swim – 56 mile bike.

More: Swim - The TBF HIT V swim course will be 1.2 miles with brightly colored swim buoys placed on the course. The TBF Water Safety team will be patrolling the swim course with kayaks and can offer assistance to any swimmer needing to pause or rest during the swim leg.

Bike - The TBF HIT V bike course is a one-loop course leaving Rancho Seco Park and turning left on Twin Cities Road. Riders will then make right hand turns on Clay Station Road, Tavernor Road, Dillard Road, Jackson Road, Highway 124, and Twin Cities Road before making a left hand turn back into the park at Rancho Seco. There will be CHP Officers controlling traffic at each intersection. The roads will not be closed to traffic.

Riders must not draft other riders: You must maintain at least THREE bike lengths at all times behind the rider in front of you, and you MUST ride single file while on the Highway. Failure to do so will result in a drafting penalty or disqualification. Crossing the centerline at ANY time will also result in disqualification. Proceed to the turn around on Hwy 104 and return to the park. Traffic has the right-of-way on the road so ride CAREFULLY.

Safety is our first concern, be aware of all traffic and cyclists while riding. Upon re-entering the park proceed to the transition area. There will be DISMOUNT line where all cyclists must dismount their bike before entering the transition area. Please re-rack your bicycle in the SAME spot and proceed on to the run.

ALL athletes are required to wear an approved bicycle helmet during the entire bike course. Athletes will NOT be allowed to proceed on the bike course without a helmet. The helmet must be securely fastened the entire time you are on your bike. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Headphones are not allowed on the bike course.

The Bike course will have 3 aid stations, one each at mile 20, 35, and 45 on the 56 mile bike course. Each aid station will have a water bottle hand off with cold water and electrolyte beverage. There will also be CLIF Bloks, and CLIF Bars along with a porta-potty restroom available at each aid station.

Directions: From Sacramento, take Highway 99 south to the Twin Cities Road/Highway 104 exit. Go east on Highway 104, 15 miles, to the Rancho Seco Park exit. Take the first right after passing the two towers.

From the Bay Area, take Highway 80 towards Sacramento. Take Highway 99 south towards Stockton. Exit on Highway 104 and head east towards Jackson. Turn right into Rancho Seco Park.

From Sunrise Blvd and Highway 50, head south towards Jackson Highway on Sunrise Blvd. Turn left on Jackson Highway and proceed ~4.5 miles to Dillard Road. Turn right on Dillard Road. Turn left on Clay Station Road. Turn left on Highway 104. Turn right into Rancho Seco Park.
