You can also race the shorter Super Sprint Duathlon with its 2 mile run - 6.5 mile bike - 2 mile run, either instead of with the Granite Bay Duathlon!

More: Run - Both the Super Sprint 2-mile and the Granite Bay Duathlon 4-mile run course leave the transition area and run on single-track trails, wide trails and pavement. The courses are marked with caution tape and arrows signaling straight-ahead, left or right turn. Headphones are not allowed on the run course. Aid stations on the run course for both races will have cold water, Clif Shot Energy Gels, and Clif Electrolyte Beverage.

Both the first and the second run courses are the same for both races. Headphones are not allowed on the run course.

Bike - The Granite Bay Duathlon Bike Course is a 13-mile two-loop course entirely within the park at Folsom Lake. After completing the first lap you will u-turn and complete the second lap on the bike course. After completing the second lap you will make the left turn and return to the Transition Area. This TWO-LAP course is located entirely within the park on roads closed to traffic. The bike course is windy and has several sharp small hills and tight turns. It is STRONGLY recommended that you ride the course ahead of time. Caution is advised on several of the turns as they wind through the hills and oak trees that surround Folsom Lake. Course maps will be available on race morning at Registration. ALL athletes doing the Granite Bay Duathlon MUST complete both loops on the bike course.

The Super Sprint Bike Course is a 6.5-mile one-loop course entirely within the park at Folsom Lake. The bike course is windy and has several sharp small hills and tight turns. It is STRONGLY recommended that you ride the course ahead of time. Caution is advised on several of the turns as they wind through the hills and oak trees that surround Folsom Lake. The course is closed to cars, but caution should be exercised as it has many sharp turns on its winding hilly route. After completing the lap, you will return to Transition Area and begin the second two-mile run.
