Course Info: The 2012 5150 New Orleans will offer a course full of fast and flat miles that are sure to please every athlete!
Swim:
The 1,500 meter swim course will take place from the beach from area at the UNO Research and Technology Park.
Transition:
Following the completion of the swim athletes will enter the transition area located in the large grass field next to the Lindy Boggs Conference Center also on the campus of the University of New Orleans research and Technology Park. Each bike rack will be numbered for athletes convenience and ease!
Bike:
The 40K bike course will take athletes west along Lakeshore Drive then east along Lakeshore Drive to Haynes Blvd. where cyclist will make a right hand turn and ride to the I-510 Expressway where athletes will make a u-turn and return to the transition area at the UNO research and Technology Park.
Run:
The final discipline, 10K run:
•Athletes run down Lakeshore Dr. towards West End
•Athletes continue on Lakeshore Dr. to Robert E Lee
•The run turn around will be just west of Marconi Drive
More: All 5150 events will be sanctioned by USA Triathlon and will abide by USAT rules/regulations.
All 5150 WTC owned and operated domestic events will adhere to the following age requirements: Age Minimum is 15 years old as of 12/31/2012
