Course Info: The 2nd stop on the Colorado Triathlon Tour takes us to a picturesque venue that hasn't seen triathlon action since the 80's, Steamboat Lake State Park. The new Steamboat Lake Sprint is exactly half the distance of the Steamboat Olympic Distance Triathlon that will take place on Aug 28th at Lake Catamount. Whether you're competing in your first ever race, prepping for the Aug 28th Steamboat Triathlon, or earning coveted Colorado Tri Tour points this event is perfect. Steamboat Lake State Park has it all; a warm swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake Steamboat, a flat ride through the rolling country side, and a run that takes athletes on the roads and trails of the park, all with amazing views of Hahn's Peak and the surrounding scenery.

All prizes and awards are equal for female and male. Awards are given to the first, second, and third place finishers in each age group as well as prizes from our sponsors and raffle prizes for everyone!
Prizes to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Clydesdale/Athena Division
Males over 200lbs. and females over 150lbs. Prizes will be awarded to the top Clydesdale and Athena finishers.
Relay Teams
There are three divisions of teams: mens, womens, and coed. Teams of 2 or 3 competitors may race in the triathlon. Prizes will be awarded to the top team in each division.
Directions: Directions to Steamboat Lake State Park
From Steamboat Springs go west two miles on U.S. 40 to County Road 129 (also called Elk River Road). Turn north and drive 25 miles. Steamboat Lake will be on your left hand side, please follow signs to the marina.
Parking Information
The transition area will take place at the marina. Please follow signs to the Steamboat Lake Marina and upon entering our volunteers will guide you to your parking spot. Please note for those of you staying in Steamboat that Steamboat Lake is 25 miles north of town, please plan your driving time accordingly.
