Course Info: The swim will take place in the brand new Waldo County YMCA Tom & Sally Savage pool complex. The 525 yard leg (21 lengths) will be run with wave starts. The six lane pool will hold 12 racers at a time, two swimmers sharing a lane. Once all the swimmers in a wave finish, the next wave will start immediately.

The 12.2 mile bike course starts immediately outside the building, then turns southwest on Route 52. The ride is a loop course on paved roads. We will have flaggers and law enforcement at the key intersections as well as motorcycle marshals with each wave. The terrain is mostly flat with rolling hills, both scenic and safe.

The 3.5 mile loop run will start again at the transition area in the YMCA gymnasium and follow Route 52 again.

The terrain is mostly flat with a few rolling hills on pavement. There will be aid and water stations at each mile of the race. Racers will finish at the main entrance to the YMCA where spectators can cheer on friends and family.

After the morning's race is over, we will hold the awards ceremony and then head right back into the festivities with the kids races. There will be 3 kids divisions, each with their own distances according to age.

More: This is an event for the whole family with a triathlon for the adults in the morning, a chip timed Junior (11-14 year old mini tri) and kids races in the afternoon!

The morning race will be timed by All Sports Events with the results available the day after the race. We will use Chip timing to give racers splits for each leg of the race as well as time in transition!

Racers will enjoy plenty of food and drink to refuel themselves after the race. This will be a great time for families to relax with some food and music and celebrate before we start the kids’ races at 1:00 p.m. The mornings’ race award ceremony will start at approximately 12 noon.

The awards will go as follows: (There will be no double dipping.)
Top 3 Male/Female Overall
Top Male/Female in 10 year increments
19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, etc.
Top Relay Team Male, Female, Coed , and Teen
